Time to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo - Denver 2022

Cinco de Mayo in Denver will be celebrated on May 7th & 8th, 2022 in Denver Civic Center Park from 10 am to 8 pm.

 

This festival has lots going on from contests, lots of vendors with products and food, plus live entertainment, and a Parade you don't want to miss!  

 

These contests will be held -

Chihuahua Races - Sunday May 8th at 2 pm

on the contest stage south of seal pond, center of Civic Center Park

Taco Eating Contest - Saturday - May 8th at 2 pm

on the contest stage south of seal pond, center of Civic Center Park

Lowrider Car Show - Saturday and Sunday

Along Colfax from Bannock to Broadway

 

There will be live Entertainment on the Main Stage, Local Stage, and Community Stage.    Many local bands as well as dance schools showing off their local talent! 

 

The Parade will be held on Saturday - May 7th from 11 am to noon

The sidewalk areas along the parade route are open to everyone.  The parade will leave the staging area (3 blocks west of the City & County Building) at 11:00 am and wind through downtown Denver, arriving at Denver's Civic Center park area, the site of the Cinco de Mayo Festival.

 

Rules & FAQs - 

The following may NOT be brought into the Festival:

  • Alcoholic beverages, beverage containers, glass bottles, food, or beverages
  • Illegal drugs
  • Coolers, picnic baskets, or carry-ins of any type (backpacks, large bags, and persons may be subjected to search)
  • Kites, frisbees, balls, or other sports equipment
  • Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or inline skates
  • Pit Bulls (more info in FAQs below)
  • Weapons of any kind including - firearms, knives, mace, contraband, laser pointers, or anything that can be perceived by security as a weapon
  • Gang paraphernalia or apparel

Once you’re here:

  • No unauthorized vending
  • All dogs must be on a leash

Tips for enjoying the Festival:

  • Pick up a brochure at any entrance to find your favorite, beverage, attraction, or band
  • Drink responsibly and make sure your group has a designated driver
  • Have a designated meeting place in case you get separated
  • Don’t leave children unattended

When you leave the Festival:

  • No alcoholic beverages may be taken off Festival grounds
  • Please dispose of trash in the receptacles provided and help us leave the neighborhood clean
