"A picture is worth a thousand words"
In response to this month's ActiveRain Challenge co-hosted by Debe Maxwell, CRS and Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 , what speaks louder and better than pictures? I hope I didn't scare you with the title of this post. I certainly don't expect you to read a 21,000-word blog post. However, I have 20 pictures (above) from various meet-ups over the years so that's worth 20,000 words, right? When I was putting the collage together I couldn't find the one of Myrl Jeffcoat and me when I traveled through Sacramento a few years ago. I have since located it so that makes my 21,000-word blog post. LOL
I have also met John Boles in Boise, Idaho but we did not get a picture together. (sad face).
So many other entries in this Challenge have expressed exactly how I feel about this community too so there's no point in repeating what has already been said so well.
I'm rarely short of words but, honestly, there's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. I've decided to let the pictures do most of the talking. I think all those smiles say plenty.
Over the years you've become lifelong friends and extended family. It's so good to know that wherever I travel, I have my special peeps to meet up with. It has been my great pleasure to meet many ActiveRain members and I'm looking forward to many more meetups. In the meantime, I hope to see the rest of you on our weekly Zoom calls. As I look back on this post, I was mortified to realize the photo of Dorie Dillard Austin TX and me during my visit to Austin didn't post... so here it is. We had a wonderful evening at Steiner Ranch, enjoying wine, steak, conversation, and an amazing sunset.
Each and every one of you is special to me. My life is richer and more fun because of you!
